The Lebanese capital… A message from my kidnappers asking for a $400,000 ransom – Al-Nasr Newspaper
The Lebanese media announced the kidnapping of a Saudi citizen on the road to Beirut airport in the middle of Saturday night.
The Lebanese Minister of Interior, Bassam Mawlawi, stated that he has been following the case of the kidnapping of a Saudi citizen in Beirut in cooperation with the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces since Sunday, and added: “We are in constant contact with the Saudi ambassador to Lebanon to obtain the most accurate details.”
The Lebanese Minister of Interior affirmed: “We are working hard to liberate any citizen who is subjected to abuse on Lebanese soil. This incident affects Lebanon’s relations with its brothers, and the perpetrators will be severely punished.”
According to the Saudi “Al-Ikhbariya” channel, the kidnapped citizen works for Saudi Airlines in Beirut, and was kidnapped from the center of the commercial area in the Lebanese capital.
The kidnappers sent a message demanding a financial ransom of $400,000 (1.5 million riyals). The phone message was issued from the southern suburbs of Beirut.
