The Qatari government, through Qatar Airways, revealed today, that residents of Qatar and those currently abroad are allowed to return to the country, after relaxing the restrictions imposed by the Corona pandemic.

On the other hand, Salam Al Shawa, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Communications and Media of Qatar Airways, said he will allow residents of his country Qatar and those abroad to return to the country, starting from the first of August.

As she stated in a tweet on her account on the Twitter site, which was viewed by Al-Nasr newspaper, that Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, "will soon announce special offers that include the prices of travel tickets and accommodation for 5, 4 and 3 star hotels for quarantine purposes."


Shawa’s speech came after statements by the spokesperson of the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management in Qatar, Lulwa Al-Khater, who announced at a press conference a plan to gradually lift some restrictions consisting of 4 stages, beginning on June 15.

The first and second stages of the plan to gradually tighten the restrictions imposed by the Corona epidemic include allowing flights out of Doha to be absolutely necessary, stressing that "everyone who returns to Doha will be subject to a hotel stone at his own expense in one of the hotels designated for a full two-week period."

"In the third stage of the plan, flights coming from countries with low risk will be allowed to priority travelers as residency holders, while in the fourth phase the flights will be expanded in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Public Health," she added.

As of Monday evening, the number of injured people in Qatar reached 70,158, of whom 45,935 recovered, in addition to 57 deaths.
