In a related context, according to what Kuwaiti news agencies revealed, "The move in that thinking by the Kuwaiti government comes in implementation of all directives of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, in order to support the private sector that was recently affected by the repercussions of the emerging Corona virus in all Countries of the world, and in Kuwait in particular.
In this regard, the official statement came as follows: - In implementation of all directives of His Highness the Emir of the country to support the private sector affected by the repercussions of the Corona Virus (Covid 19), His Excellency the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior directed to extend the period of the national guarantee program, which provides guarantees to all local Kuwaiti banks By the Development Bank, so that it becomes interest free for a full year instead of six months.
On the other hand, the Kuwait Development Bank had called, on the previous April 5, to provide guarantees for all local banks, for interest-free loans for all companies affected by the consequences of the spread of the Corona virus.
For its part, the Kuwaiti government issued a new decision to close shops and stop all commercial activities except pharmacies and food supply and delivery stores, starting from the nineteenth of this month to the thirty of the current month of May 2020.
