The Qatari Council of Ministers has extended a program for all citizens in Qatar that provides guarantees to all local banks by "Qatar Development Bank"; All loans are interest free for one year instead of six months.
In a related context, as revealed by the Qatar News Agency, "Qena", this morning, Tuesday, "The move by the Qatari government comes in implementation of all directives of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, in order to support the private sector that was affected recently by The repercussions of the new corona virus in all countries of the world, and in Qatar in particular.
In this regard, the official statement came as follows: - In implementation of all directives of His Highness the Emir of the country to support the private sector affected by the repercussions of the Corona Virus (Covid 19), His Excellency the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior extended the period of the national guarantee program which provides guarantees to all local Qatari banks By the Development Bank, so that it becomes interest free for a full year instead of six months.
On the other hand, the Qatar Development Bank had called, in the previous April 5, to provide guarantees for all local banks, for interest-free loans for all companies affected by the consequences of the spread of the Corona virus.
For its part, the Qatari government has issued a new decision to close shops and stop all commercial activities except pharmacies and food supply and delivery stores, starting from the nineteenth of this month to the thirty of this month of May 2020.
For its part, the Qatari Ministry of Health revealed that, today, about 1365 new infections with the emerging corona virus were recorded, in the past twenty-four hours, bringing the total number to 33,969 cases of the emerging corona virus, fifteen of them died.
