Qatar Stock Exchange Stable at Closing Despite Global Declines

Qatar Stock Exchange closed stable during trading today, Monday, with expectations of a decline or complete paralysis in global markets.

In a related context, the general index rose to reach 10057.23 points, gaining 0.10 points, which does not represent a significant percentage from yesterday, Sunday’s level.

The session’s performance was supported by the growth of the industrial sector by 0.07%, while 6 sectors, led by real estate, declined by 2.49%.

As for trading, liquidity rose to 591.38 million riyals, compared to 374.76 million riyals yesterday, Sunday, and trading volumes increased to 181.46 million shares, compared to 148.36 million shares in the previous session, and 20.66 thousand deals were executed compared to 12.72 thousand deals in Sunday’s session.

Among the 49 active stocks, Industries Qatar led the rises by 1.73%, while Widam led the declines by 5.96%, and the price of 4 stocks stabilized.

Qamco, which declined by 2.93%, led the volume activity with 17.2 million shares, while QNB led the liquidity activity with 140.55 million riyals.
