The second session of the political axis of the national dialogue is headed today, Sunday, and four sessions are scheduled for political parties and local committees at the Cairo Convention Center in Nasr City.

Tomorrow, the Municipalities Committee will discuss the issue of the “Local People’s Councils Law” in two sessions. The Political Parties Committee will also discuss various issues, including the rules for promoting and supporting the activity of parties and removing the obstacles they face, in addition to the formation and terms of reference of the Parties Committee. “Financial and administrative governance within” will also be discussed.

It should be noted that the first session of the political axis, which includes 5 sub-committees, began last Sunday. The Committee on the Exercise of Political Rights and Parliamentary Representation discussed the electoral system for the House of Representatives, while the Committee on Human Rights and Public Freedoms discussed the elimination of all forms of discrimination.

The Trade Unions and Civil Society Committee discussed the challenge of cooperatives and the role of cooperative societies in achieving the goals of sustainable development, in addition to legislation and laws regulating the work of associations.

It should be noted that the Board of Trustees of the National Dialogue agreed to hold its sessions mainly on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week, and each of the three axes of the National Dialogue (political – economic – social) allocates one of those mentioned days, and up to four can be held Sessions in one day, and each session lasts for three hours.
