Al-Azhar Al-Sharif expresses its condemnation of the irresponsible statements made by a French official, in which he linked Sunni Islam to terrorism and indicated that it constituted the greatest threat to his country and Europe.
Al-Azhar affirms that the repetition of such and similar statements by Western officials, despite what has become clear to rational people in the West and the East of their negative effects on Muslims in Western societies, expresses widespread ignorance of Islam, denial of its civilization and its ancient and contemporary history, and unjustified and deliberate provocation. feelings of Muslims around the world.
Al-Azhar warns that these statements are a kind of Western terrorism practiced by some Western officials against the civilization of the East and the civilization of Islam, which contributed to awakening Europe from the age of ignorance, darkness and brutality.
