In this context, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly followed up, with the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. Al-Qaseer, on the position of providing the local market’s needs for fodder, yellow corn and soybeans. Where it was agreed on a number of measures that will help provide the necessary resources to meet the needs of farmers, and ensure the continuity of poultry production cycles in farms.
The quantities of feed required and their importance
According to a report presented by the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, there is an urgent need to provide sufficient quantities of various fodders, which are essential in feeding poultry. The feed contains a high percentage of proteins and other nutrients that poultry need for healthy growth and production.
Yellow corn and soybeans are used in raising and feeding poultry, because they contain the nutrients necessary for the health and proper growth of poultry. Soybeans are also used to feed cattle, pigs and fish, as they contain a high percentage of proteins and essential amino acids that are essential for animal health. Yellow maize is also an important agricultural crop that is widely cultivated, and is mainly used to feed poultry and livestock.
In the framework of providing sufficient quantities of fodder and agricultural crops required in the local market, work is being done to increase the productivity of farmers and provide them with the necessary support, in addition to regulating imports from abroad to meet urgent needs. These efforts come within the framework of achieving food security in Egypt and improving the quality of local agricultural products.
