Introducing 3 new violations in the Federal Traffic Law

Federal Law No. (21) and Ministerial Resolution No. (178) of 2017 have been developed regarding the preventive measures mentioned in the decision related to safe behavior in times of emergency and severe weather conditions. This development includes adding three new violations to the table attached to the ministerial decision.

The first violation is “gathering near places of valleys, torrents, and dams during rainy weather,” and a fine of 1,000 dirhams will be applied to it, and (6) traffic points will be added to the driver’s file.

The second violation is “entering valleys while they are running, no matter how dangerous they are,” and a fine of 2,000 dirhams, (23) traffic points, and vehicle impoundment for a period of 60 days will apply.

And the third violation is “obstructing the competent authorities from carrying out their work with regard to traffic regulation, ambulance and rescue in cases of emergency, disasters, crises, rains and flowing valleys,” and a fine of 1,000 dirhams applies to it, (4) traffic points, and car impoundment for a period of 60 days.

New articles have been added to Ministerial Resolution No. (178) of 2017 regarding the preventive measures mentioned in the decision and related to safe behavior in times of emergency and severe weather conditions, pursuant to Ministerial Resolution No. (130) of 1997 and the executive regulations of Federal Law No. (21) and the executive regulations of Federal Law No. (1995) to amend some provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. (178) of (2017).

These amendments aim to enhance preventive measures and emphasize the importance of following safety instructions and requirements in cases of emergencies, crises, repercussions of heavy rain and weather fluctuations. Its work is related to the regulation of traffic, traffic, ambulance and rescue in emergency and disaster situations and the flow of valleys.

The basic articles of the law also urge road users, including vehicle drivers and pedestrians, to adhere to the utmost caution and caution, not to expose their lives or the lives of others to danger, to follow the rules and etiquette of traffic, its signs and signals, to implement police and traffic instructions in their behavior, and to implement the instructions of the police, traffic, civil defense, and emergency and disaster personnel. And crisis agencies in cases of emergencies, disasters and crises, and not to harm, hinder or harass others more than circumstances require and do not allow to be avoided.

This decision aims to enhance the efforts of the concerned legal and institutional authorities and their preventive measures taken into account that this text includes information about the new amendments made to Federal Law No. (178) of 2017 regarding the preventive measures mentioned in the decision related to safe behavior in times of emergency and severe weather conditions .

This law aims to enhance traffic safety in cases of emergencies, crises, repercussions of heavy rain and weather fluctuations, and includes the addition of some new articles such as not gathering near valleys and current dams, not entering valleys during their flow, whatever the level of danger, and not causing hindrance to the competent authorities from carrying out their work with regard to regulating traffic.
