Dubai Roads Company officially announces the extension of the closure of the floating bridge
It was announced by the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai or known as the Dubai Roads Company to extend the closure of the floating bridge in both directions until further notice. This extension comes to conduct technical tests and verify the main maintenance works of the bridge.
The authority called on citizens and residents to use alternative roads, which include Al Maktoum Bridge, Infinity Bridge and Al Garhoud Bridge, in addition to the exit of Al Mamzar Street for those coming from Al Ittihad Street, and the main roads and axes such as Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Street and Emirates Road.
These measures aim to facilitate traffic and ensure the safety of passengers during the period of closure of the floating bridge. Drivers are requested to follow and cooperate with the authority’s instructions to avoid congestion and time delays.

The previously mentioned alternative routes are effective and reliable ways to move around during the pontoon bridge closure period. The authority hopes for cooperation from drivers in refraining from using the floating bridge and taking the proposed alternative routes until the completion of the necessary technical tests and maintenance.
We urge citizens and residents of Dubai to be mindful of potential delays and to allow sufficient time for travel. We hope that any technical issues during the current shutdown and maintenance period will be discovered and resolved.
The authority will continue to provide continuous updates and announcements regarding the reopening of the floating bridge and the resumption of traffic. We thank everyone for their cooperation and patience during this period, and we affirm our commitment to providing excellent and safe traffic service to all users.
