Abu Dhabi Police organizes courses on “identifying victims” – Al-Nasr Newspaper
The Office of Victims’ Affairs at the Crisis and Disaster Management Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized five specialized courses on the system for identifying disaster victims. 71 members of specialized experts in the specialized units of Abu Dhabi Police participated in these courses, in addition to employees from strategic partners from the Ministry of Defense, the Dubai Police General Command, the Department of Community Development and Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA”.
Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Director of the Central Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the importance of these courses in exchanging experiences and communicating between strategic partners and specialists to build a knowledge system that contributes to enhancing cooperation and joint coordination in managing disaster victims’ affairs. The courses presented the concept of the disaster identification system and the approved technical and coordination procedures, in addition to identifying unknown bodies during disasters in accordance with the protocol and standards of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) and the organizing team. The response mechanism has been demonstrated in this context as well.
