“Laughter” at Mustafa Darwish’s funeral disturbs communications in Egypt – Al-Nasr Newspaper
Social media pioneers shared a picture of two girls who appeared to be “journalists” in training, laughing during the funeral of the late young Egyptian artist Mustafa Darwish, which sparked a state of extreme anger.
The Journalists Syndicate in Egypt held an investigation into the circulated photo, and the Photojournalist Department announced that the two girls were not among the members of the department. An urgent investigation was conducted into the incident and the Syndicate Council was notified of the results of the investigation.
It is noteworthy that the artist, Mustafa Darwish, died suddenly at the age of 43 due to a heart attack, and his funeral was held at Al-Hosari Mosque on the sixth of October, in the presence of a large number of stars in the artistic community, who were overwhelmed by a state of great sadness and crying because of his sudden separation.
This photograph is yet another example of irresponsible and unprofessional behavior in dealing with sad and poignant events, and such incidents should be dealt with with humility, respect and sympathy for the family, friends and fans of the deceased artist.
We hope that the circumstances of this incident will be revealed and that the necessary measures will be taken to prevent such matters from happening in the future.
