Today, under the directives and presence of Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Riyadh region, a group of municipal development projects were inaugurated in the municipality of Al-Kharj Governorate, at a total cost of 82 million riyals. The ceremony was also attended by Prince Fahd bin Muhammad bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Kharj.

In a press statement after the inauguration, the governor of Riyadh said: “I am happy to come to Al-Kharj Governorate and accompany the brothers in it, starting with Prince Fahd bin Muhammad bin Saad, who made great efforts in serving the governorate, with the support and guidance of our wise leadership.” He praised the various municipal projects in the fields of education, municipalities, roads and parks, which enhance the well-being of citizens and residents.

He added that Al-Kharj Governorate has great importance in the region in terms of resources and economic and recreational impact, and has led to the achievement of many goals in various fields, and he thanked government agencies, the private sector and the people of the province for their support and contribution to achieving these achievements.

For his part, the Mayor of Al-Kharj Governorate, Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Zaid, explained that the projects include the opening of Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, which connects the north and south of Al-Kharj Governorate at a distance of 14 kilometers, and is a vital road that passes through the Roshan project, King Khalid Hospital and the Public Corporation Housing. Military Industries, in addition to the inauguration of the expansion and development of Prince Abdul Rahman bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz Park on an area of ​​40 thousand square meters. The features provided in the park include interactive fountains, a dry fountain, green spaces, an amphitheater, a celebration square, children’s games, walking paths, a pedestrian bridge, an investment area, a mosque, and parking lots. Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz also laid the foundation stone for three model parks in the neighborhoods of Yarmouk, Nasifa and Al-Hada.

The Mayor of Al-Kharj Governorate expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Prince of Riyadh Region for his support and opening of municipal projects, stressing that this reflects the interest and dedication of the wise leadership in improving the quality of life and implementing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
