Saudi Arabia awards the Merit Medal to a group of citizens and residents (new decisions + good news for all)

Yesterday, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi monarch, agreed to grant 114 people the Order of Merit of the third degree, in appreciation of their blood donation ten times.

The Saudi Press Agency “SPA” published the names of the 60 male and female citizens who were awarded the Order of Merit.

54 residents were awarded the Order of Merit in recognition of each donating blood ten times.

Last April, King Saud Medical City confirmed that blood donation is a noble humanitarian act that entails benefits for the donor before the beneficiary, and indicated four main benefits for the donor.

The medical city stated on its Twitter account that among the most important benefits of the donation: “checking your health through a medical examination before donating,” in addition to “reducing the possibility of heart disease.”

She added, “Blood donation contributes to the renewal of blood cells and saving the lives of others.”
