The Saudi Council of Ministers issues 11 new decisions for all citizens and residents in the Kingdom

After the session, Minister of Information Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari said that the council dealt with all the state’s actions in the past days, especially with regard to strengthening the bonds of relations between the Kingdom and a number of brotherly and friendly countries at the bilateral and multilateral levels in various fields.
In this context, the Cabinet praised the outcomes of the fifth session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council, which was held in Jeddah Governorate, and the signing of memorandums of understanding in a number of fields, and affirmed the determination of the two brotherly countries to raise the pace of their cooperation. In a way that achieves common interests, enhances the security and stability of the region and accelerates development.
The Council touched on what was included in the Kingdom’s participation in the 76th session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, highlighting its efforts to reduce global public health threats, finding solutions in preparing for and responding to pandemics, and creating programs that promote human health sustainability.
The Cabinet noted the Kingdom’s accelerating steps towards confronting climate change and advancing green and sustainable solutions with a package of initiatives that will contribute – God willing – to reducing carbon emissions, including building the largest green hydrogen production plant in the world in Neom; It aims to meet the growing demand for energy globally, and to enhance its leading role in developing new and alternative energy sources.
And he indicated that the Council affirmed the state’s keenness to develop and diversify the Kingdom’s economy and improve the investment environment, praising in this regard the witness of the investment forum in the special economic zones that was held in Riyadh, in terms of signing agreements and granting licenses to start the work of these zones, which reflects the qualitative shift of the Saudi economy and its competitiveness and highlights the opportunities promising new investment attractive to him.
The Cabinet followed the developments of events on the regional and international arenas, especially the situation in Sudan and the course of the Jeddah talks, and the resulting agreements on a short-term ceasefire and humanitarian arrangements, in light of the Kingdom’s efforts aimed at supporting political solutions in this brotherly country and bringing the views of the two parties closer together. dispute.
The Council reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying. Authorizing the Minister of Information, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Audiovisual Media – or his representative – to discuss with counterparts in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Republic of Ghana, and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, regarding draft memorandums of understanding for cooperation in the field of audiovisual media between the General Authority for Visual Media And heard in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its counterparts in those countries.

Authorizing the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Research, Development and Innovation Development Authority – or his representative – to discuss with the British side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for cooperation in the field of research, development and innovation.
Seventh:
Authorizing the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Transport Authority – or his representative – to discuss with the Egyptian side a draft agreement between the General Transport Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Suez Canal Authority in the Arab Republic of Egypt for cooperation in the field of developing the transit of cruise ships and cargo ships through the Canal Suez.
