The Saudi passports officially revealed this morning all the penalties imposed on self-employed expatriates without officially registering their activities, and approved penalties for citizens and residents who violate the rules of residency, work and border security.

The Saudi Passports Office said in a tweet on the short-tweeting platform Twitter: “Self-employed expatriates are subject to the following penalties.

The Passports Department in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will also formally impose about 14,042 administrative decisions against citizens and residents who violate the regulations and penalties for residency, work and border control during the month of December 2022 through the administrative committees of the various regional passport departments. It ranged from imprisonment, fines and deportation.

The General Directorate of Passports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia requires all citizens and residents, including owners of establishments and individuals, not to transfer, employ or detain anyone who violates the rules of residency, work or border control, and not to detain or work with them. Not providing any means to assist them in finding transportation, housing or transportation opportunities.

On the other hand, the General Directorate of Saudi Passports called for reporting violators.
