And the Saudi “Al-Ikhbariya” channel reported that Al-Ittihad Jeddah club reached an official agreement with Karim Benzema to join the team, with a contract that extends for two seasons.
And the Saudi channel stated that the president of Ittihad Jeddah Club, Anmar Al-Haili, and his deputy, Ahmed Kaaki, are in the Spanish capital, Madrid, to sign Benzema in a record transfer deal.
The Spanish “Relevo” network confirmed that the president of Ittihad Jeddah club and his deputy will be in Madrid today, Sunday, in order to save the deal, and indicated that Benzema held a session with Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, to inform him of his decision to leave.
Reports recently indicated that Al-Ittihad Jeddah, which won the Saudi League title in the current season, offered Benzema a transfer to the team for 100 million euros net per season.
And the official Saudi television confirmed that Benzema had agreed to the offer, and that he had made a phone call to his former colleague Cristiano Ronaldo to inquire about life in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and playing in the Saudi League.
