Renewal of resident ID card: late fine

One of the frequent questions that Saudi citizens ask is about the fine for delaying the renewal of the resident ID card. For example, the Department of Passports was asked through its Twitter account about the reason for the existence of a fine for delay in renewal, as one of them mentioned that he was subjected to a fine of 1,600 riyals after his residency expired 4 days ago, and his inquiry was not answered.

In response to this inquiry, the Passports Department clarified that the fine for delaying the renewal of the resident’s identity is imposed 3 days after the expiration of the residence permit, and the fine was estimated at 500 Saudi riyals for the first time and 1000 Saudi riyals in the case of repetition.

Family Visitor Visa: Fees and Updates
