Professions allowed for foreigners 2023

Saudi government agencies have defined a list of professions and jobs in which non-citizens are allowed to work within the territory of the Kingdom. The following are some of the professions permitted for foreigners:

3. The pharmacy profession

4. Account Manager or Clerk

5. Purchasing representative

Conditions for obtaining Saudi nationalization professions

After defining the list of native professions, the Saudi government set some conditions that must be met for citizens to register in the list of native Saudi professions. Here are some of these conditions:

• The registration application should be for Saudi nationalization professions for nationals only.
• Applicants must be between 18 to 40 years old.
• All required data such as name, national identity number and phone number must be provided.
• The registration system accepts both male and female applicants.

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has worked to issue a guide for Saudization of professions, which will begin with the application of 35% of the Saudization of professions and advisory work on April 6, 2023 in the first phase, and the second phase on March 24, 2024, when the percentage of Saudization of professions will rise to 40%. This decision applies to all establishments without exceptions to the percentage of Saudization in other decisions.
