The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah clarifies the steps for requesting the Muharram exemption for citizens and residents


The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah officially revealed this morning the steps to request an exception for the Muharram (for citizens, residents and expatriate workers).

In a related context, the request for an exception for the forbidden, which includes reviewing the Saudi Ministry of Interior and then amending the data in the electronic track.

In this regard, the “Taking Care of Beneficiaries” account affiliated with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah – via the tweets platform – stated in response to an inquiry from a citizen in this regard, that it is possible to request an exception for Muharram by following the following steps:

First: Refer to the agency of the Ministry of Interior… Civil Status (for a citizen), or the General Directorate of Passports (for a resident).

Second: Refer to the applicant’s application in the electronic track, appointing the pilgrim as a companion, and specifying the relationship of kinship.

In his inquiry to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the citizen said: How do I extract an exception for Hajj?

In the same context, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has shown that the issuance of Hajj permits for the year 1444 AH begins on the 15th of Shawwal, and that completing vaccinations and vaccinations is a condition for issuing the permit.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah indicated that the last period for obtaining immunizations and vaccinations is ten days before the start of the Hajj season.
