The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources announced, through its official website, an important decision for expatriate workers in Saudi Arabia, in implementation of the second phase of amending the job transition mechanism for expatriate workers, on all private sector establishments, after it was limited to individual establishments for expatriate workers in Saudi Arabia.
The Ministry indicated that the transition mechanism requires enabling the worker in Saudi Arabia to move to a new employer without transferring the unpaid financial compensation from the previous employer before moving and staying there, as previously for expatriate workers, and asking the new employer in Saudi Arabia to pay the financial compensation from the date of the worker.

This phase aims to achieve a benefit for all parties by stopping the accumulation of unpaid amounts on the current employer, easing the burden on expatriate workers in Saudi Arabia, and not burdening the new employer with previous debts in order to benefit from the services of the worker in Saudi Arabia, as the worker in Saudi Arabia can move to A new employer without transferring the unpaid financial compensation from the previous employer before moving and staying with him, and asking the new employer in Saudi Arabia to pay the financial compensation from the date of the worker.
