The UAE Ministry of Education presents an important decision for members of the Emirati people

The Ministry of Education has introduced a mixed education system in the Emirati Smart School starting from the next academic year 2020-2021.

The Ministry has put in place four flexible school time scenarios for the next academic year, with school education being 70% compared to 30% for e-learning, and working hours will range between 5 and a half hours and six hours.

Working hours in the first scenario start from 7:15 to 12:50, the second from 7:30 to 1:05, the third from 8 to 1:35, and the fourth from 8:30 to 2:50, provided that the working hours are flexible, in line with Students' needs, preferences, and modification of their study times to suit their different educational capabilities.

The proposed scenarios specify the total number of classes for students at all levels of education, and the kindergarten children share comes 30 lessons per week, 25 lessons for school education, and 5 “self”, compared to 35 for the first episode by 30 “teachers” and 5 “self” and episode The second is 40 lessons with 30 "teachers", 3 "direct", 7 "self", plus 40 lessons for high school students with 30 "teachers", 5 "direct" and 5 "self", with a duration of 45 minutes For everyone.

The scenarios included suggested recommendations, which focused on the application of 4-day school education, smart education for the second and third sessions of one day, the orientation towards virtual laboratories and the reduction in the number of specialists in scientific laboratories, and a reduction in the cost of electric power and water consumption and the cost of maintenance and auxiliary labor.

The optimal use of transportation and school transport is to reduce the number of learning days in schools and reduce the burden of school hours for students and diversify them between school and home, which reflects their impact on social life, as well as the ease of applying various scenarios when a natural crisis or disaster occurs, God forbid.

The Ministry identified seven strengths in the case of applying the flexible plan, which lies in raising the level of awareness among students gradually during the academic stages of the importance of self-learning and self-reliance, where the plan is classified by increasing self-learning from 5 classes in the first cycle to reach 10 classes in the second two And the third.

The plan also achieves freedom of learning and permanent access to educational platforms, while providing greater freedom for students to adjust their self-study schedules to suit their time, and to develop research and critical thinking skills among students, especially in the third cycle of preparing them for study in higher education, while achieving Student independence and development of free self-learning skills.

The most important points include the flexibility of timing to implement self-learning, encouraging Emirati school students to use smart resources that enrich student information in many areas in the future, preparing them for postgraduate studies and the labor market, applying virtual academies to support student learning through a group of distinguished teachers, and the ease of applying events And virtual activities .. excursions, cinema and celebrations.
