Today, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced the approval of the US Pfizer vaccine against the Corona virus “Covid-19” for children aged 12 to 15 years.

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, based on the British newspaper The Guardian via her website, added, "Apart from children being less susceptible to Covid-19 but there are cases of children who contract the virus and can also transmit it to others, easily when our children are vaccinated, their teachers, friends, sisters and parents Their affairs and their grandparents are more guarded from the virus, too."

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern stated that there are about 265,000 boys in that age group, noting that the existing New Zealand framework has sufficient doses to cover these numbers.

New Zealand is still in the early stages of introducing the vaccine, as about 7.7% of the adult population has been vaccinated, and vaccination campaigns have so far focused on specific vulnerable groups, including border workers and their families, frontline workers, who are at high risk and the elderly.

It is planned to start offering the vaccine to the general adult population in the month of July, and it will vary according to the age group, to reach those under the age of 35 years in October.
