Pakistani authorities recently revealed that at least one person out of about 100 people on board a passenger plane that crashed Friday in the city of Karachi survived.

In a related context, the spokesman for the Sindh government, Abdul Rashid Channa, said in a press statement a short time ago, that the called banker Zafar Mahmoud narrowly escaped the accident, noting that the head of the state government, Murad Ali Shah, contacted the survivor in order to check on his health.

In that regard, he was on board the ill-fated plane of Pakistan International Airlines, which crashed this morning while trying to land at Karachi Airport, according to various data, between 99 and 107 people.

And the mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhtar, has previously revealed in his statements that the local authorities do not expect the presence of survivors on the crashed plane that fell on a residential area.
